Description l-r: Frank Fary (Board Trustee of the Blowing Rock Horse Show Foundation), Lowell Thomas (Board Trustee of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation) and Houck Medford (Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation)

Frank Fary recently presented a check from the Blowing Rock Horse Show Foundation to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to be applied specifically for carriage trail improvement on the Moses Cone Estate.

The Cone Estate has over 26 miles of carriage roads which receive an annual distribution of over 60 tons of crusher run stone annually. A layer of grainte schist is then applied as a softer more durable and kinder surface for horses. The horse show's investment is specifically for the softer and less dense material.

As the primary and professional fund raising organization for the National Parkway Service, the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation received the horse show distribution.

In this photo, Frank Fary is showing Lowell Thomas and Houck Medford the specific intensions of the Horse Show Foundation's investment.
