The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Family Archives
PURPOSE
AND MISSION:
The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Family
Archives serves the citizens of the United States as a permanent repository
and reference center for documents, specifically photographs, home video,
and stories, pertinent to the contemporary and past history of the Blue
Ridge Parkway. It is also the mission of the Archives to support and
maintain the institutional memory of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Family Archives was created to celebrate
the rich personal history of people who have lived, worked, and played
on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Most everyone has their own personal place
-- for repose, and/or for family or personal enjoyment. Often, these
stories, places, and memories are unrecorded childhood memories. As
part of the it's ongoing legacy program, the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation
feels a strong sense of commitment to preserve the past and present
for the future.
