Plates for the Parkway, June 10-13, 2013
Why does the Parkway need YOU?
The Parkway is our country’s most visited national park unit, receiving more visitors each year than Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon combined. Additionally, it is one of the most diverse places in the nation with regards to its environmental, cultural and scenic resources. Yet, it operates on a fraction of many parks’ budgets and does not charge an entrance fee. Thus, it needs the help of its neighbors and fans to preserve its past, enhance its present and protect its future…for all of us!
What does Plates for the Parkway help support?
Plates for the Parkway helps the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation provide funding for various projects along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This year, the Foundation allocated $740,000 to such projects. See a full list of what we're funding here.
Plates for the Parkway brings together Parkway travelers, neighbors, communities and fans in the single largest week-long fundraiser to protect the Parkway. Join us to make a difference to the future of the Parkway!
