Nature Photographers Invade

the High Country

The annual meeting of the Carolinas’ Nature Photographers Association was highlighted this weekend by three full days on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The association, with over 600 South and North Carolina members met at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center to share photos, techniques, and stories which were led by nationally recognized speakers Kathy Adams Clark, Rob Shepherd, Walt Anderson, and Carolyn Wright.  Their topics included editorial composition, digital photography, special lighting techniques, and a law primer for photographers.

Parkway destinations for perfecting their craft were Rough Ridge, Linn Cove Viaduct, Beacon Heights, and Linville Falls.

The Carolina’s Nature Photographers Association was founded in 1992 for the purpose of promoting nature photography in the Carolinas, conserving and preserving the diverse natural ecosystems in the Carolinas, and educating others about nature and wildlife photography.

The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation was identified to its members as a conservation organization dedicated to preserving this unique national park.
