This was a motorcycle trip covering the entire parkway from north to south. I then went back and did it again south to north. This road is truly a national treasure.
I have ALWAYS loved the BRP, riding parts of it for many years, mostly the southern portions, but on this 75th Anniversary I decided to ride the whole length of the Parkway.
Having grown up in Hickory and Mount Airy we love driving the parkway just to enjoy the mountains. I remember, as a child, going to Cumberland Knob with my family for picnics.
