My plate combines my love of the Parkway with my love of cars. After many years of hard work, I was fortunate enough a while back to finally obtain my dream car - a 2008 Porsche Cayman S.

I have had a Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation plate on my car for years - my first plate was number 0117. I wanted to do something a bit special for my new car, though, and after some thought came up with an idea I really liked.

While "Cayman S" is the official marketing name of my car, 987S is the internal Porsche model number. I was happy to see this combination was available, and was therefore able to get a "car-nut insider" license plate for my new vehicle.

One of the things I like the most about my plate (besides the great BRPF design, of course!) is how it doesn't appear to be a personalized plate and only those in-the-know of Porsche model numbers will note the true meaning of my choice.
