Day One Waynesboro,VA to Sparta, NC A clear day with spotty clouds and spectacular photo opportunities.
Day Two Sparta, NC to Asheville, NC with a great side run of Highway 226 on the Little Switzerland Loop and

Highlights were Linville Falls and seeing the Falls for the first time after living in NC for 48 years and then going from 84 degree temps at the falls to 53 degrees on top of Mount Mitchell for a scary thunderstorm that had up to 60-70mph winds and many updrafts swirling around us.
Day Three Asheville, NC to Cherokee,NC and then on to Catalochee Valley to see the Elk in the wild. What a trip I never knew there could be so many great views.... My Wife got tired of hearing me say, My God Look at THAT View!
