Summer 2006 Camping End to End!
Truly our favorite trip as a family. It was the week before school started and we camped from End to End at a different Parkway campground each night. We hiked trails like Old Logging Railroad and Trail of the Trees, played in waterfalls, celebrated Smokey the Bear's Birthday, enjoyed Mabry Mills pancakes and the historical sites, and picked berries every chance we could get. We loved Rocky Knob, Meadows of Dan, Linville Falls, Crabtree Meadows, Mt. Mitchell, Craggy Gardens and the Folk Art Center as well as all the wildflowers, and stopping at every single overlook. We have been back since to sections of the Parkway but will always cherish the journey together and our nights in the tent from End to End!
