Catch autumn before it's gone!

Fall is flying by! Here are dates to note as you make the most of autumn on the Parkway before it's gone like the leaves. 

• Many of the picnic areas, including Craggy Gardens and Rocky Knob, close for the season this Sunday, Oct. 31. Others that remain open all year include Humpback Rocks and Linville Falls. Learn more
• The Blue Ridge Music Center goes quiet on the Parkway at the end of October, so be sure to stop in for free Midday Mountain Music sessions from noon to 4 p.m. daily while you can.
• The Bluffs Restaurant at Doughton Park is serving fried chicken, shrimp & grits, cobblers, and more through Nov. 14. You can also check out Our State Magazine’s article, "The Bluffs Offers Second Helpings," about the iconic restaurant’s revitalization.
• The Southern Highland Craft Guild and America’s National Park stores at Moses Cone Manor will be open for your holiday shopping through Nov. 28. While you’re there, be sure to admire how far the renovation of the manor's exterior has come thanks to donor support. More details coming soon.
