The National Park Service as issued the following release: Blue Ridge Parkway Announces Storm Related Closures ASHEVILLE, NC – Based on updated weather forecasts and in the interest of visitor safety, the Blue Ridge Parkway is closing sections of the Parkway from Milepost 165, at VA State Route 8, south through North Carolina to Milepost 469, at Cherokee. These closures will remain in effect throughTuesday, September 12, 2017. During the period of closure the Parkway is closed to all traffic, including cyclists and hikers. In Virginia
