Though Morgan Tarbutton has traveled far and wide for job and volunteer opportunities, she has always found herself drawn back to the pristine beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Her role as Outdoor Director at Chetola Resort provides the opportunity to encourage locals and tourists alike to appreciate the mountains and safeguard them for future generations.
“It is my goal to assist in the preservation of all forms of nature while engaging others to learn, enjoy, and protect all aspects of the great outdoors,” Tarbutton says.
She enjoys a range of outdoor activities including fly fishing, hiking, clay shooting, horseback riding, photography, homesteading, canoeing and kayaking, camping, bird-watching, and amateur climbing.
Tarbutton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with minors in Biology and Psychology from Appalachian State University.
