Take the 100 Mile Challenge! Each year, North Carolina State Parks invites people to explore parks from the mountains to the coast to reach a 100-mile milestone. With so many gorgeous places to visit, you might just exceed the goal. Many state parks are just off the Parkway, including Stone Mountain and Mount Mitchell.
Start hiking
Running low on family activities? There are more than 200 TRACK Trails for to explore across the country, including four new Kids in Park adventures in South Carolina. Find the new adventures at Landsford Canal State Park, Battle of Musgrove Mill Historic Site, Sesquicentennial State Park, and Table Rock State Park. KidsinParks.com
Join our Volunteer Corps
The Foundation is working with National Park Service staff to create training opportunities and schedule workdays within the park for 2021. We are looking forward to welcoming new faces to the Volunteer Corps to tackle tasks ranging from gardening to brochure distribution. That could be you! Sign up
