Meghan McDevitt joined the Foundation in 2023 as the Graphic Designer for the Kids in Parks program. Though born and raised outside the city of Philadelphia, she fell in love with the mountains while visiting western North Carolina as a child in the summers. This admiration for the outdoors instilled a love for all things nature-related, and she graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with a B.S. in Environmental & Natural Resources. Her career has taken her across the country - working with raptors in the Tetons, researching sea turtles along the coast, and teaching a ton about the natural world! Meghan last worked for the North Carolina Arboretum and played an integral role in the statewide expansion of the ecoEXPLORE program. In 2022, she graduated from Western Carolina University with an M.S. in Experiential & Outdoor Education to further improve her skills in this field. She is excited to combine her love for nature, outreach, and art to reach even more individuals through the Kids in Parks program. When Meghan is not working, you can find her hiking with her dog Raelyn, painting or doing anything creative, and exploring Asheville for new food spots!
