A fascinating trove of photographs documenting the history of the Blue Ridge Parkway is now available through the National Park Service’s online gallery, NPGallery. Join us at 11 a.m. EST, Tuesday, August 11, for a free 30-minute virtual tour of this online archive of photographs, drawings, and documents.
Kat Connelly with the National Park Service will provide tips for finding images within the gallery database and how to download them for use. Don’t miss this opportunity to delve deeper into the history of the Parkway as the national park unit celebrates its 85th anniversary.
This project was made possible thanks to gifts to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and the Driving Through Time digital humanities project of UNC Chapel Hill.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to join the webinar. If you can't attend at the designated time, sign up anyway and we'll send you a link to the recording of the webinar to view at your convenience.
