Visit BRPWeather.com  Using information from weather stations and webcams installed along the Parkway, the site includes custom forecasts, live weather conditions, live webcam images and video, radar and satellite imagery, climate information and reader supplied photography and comments.

 For several years, the Foundation has provided funds to provide an increased level of excellence in emergency medical services (EMS) for parkway visitors by supporting training and equipment above what base park operations funding is able to support. This funding will maintain certifications and skills to improve medical response capabilities and pre-hospital care for injured persons within the boundaries of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation provided funding for a new Communications Center Building for the Blue Ridge Parkway which opened in the spring of 2012. The building, located behind park headquarters in Asheville, serves as the hub for all radio communications for the Parkway. At the same time, the 30-year old microwave communications system was replaced with a state-of-the-art microwave and land mobile radio infrastructure, giving the Parkway a modern and reliable radio telecommunications network that will provide critical support for visitors and staff for many years to come.  

In 2006 and 2008, the Foundation funded the purchase of Automatic Electronic Defibrillators (AEDs) to improve visitor safety.
